Biography

Medical oncologist and researcher at the Cancer Institute, 108 Military Central Hospital, Hanoi. He serves as Deputy Head of the Department of Pain Management and Palliative Care and Director of the Center for Genetic Counseling and Cancer Screening. He received his PhD in Oncology from Osaka Metropolitan University (Japan) in 2022, with his research on liver cancer metastasis mechanisms published in Science Advances. He leads the cancer research group at the Vietnamese-German Center for Medical Research (VG-CARE), focusing on precision oncology, 3D organoid cancer tissue culture, and multicenter clinical trials of novel targeted therapies guided by Next Generation Sequencing (NGS). He currently leads a breast cancer stage IV patient support project in Vietnam funded by ASCO and Pfizer, and collaborates with partners in Japan, the USA, South Korea, and Germany. He is a guest lecturer at the Military Medical Academy, VinUni, and Thai Nguyen University of Medicine. He has authored 6 papers indexed in Web of Science/Scopus, 4 domestic journal articles, and 10 international conference reports, with an h-index of 6 and approximately 115 citations.
