Biography
Associate Professor in the School of Engineering, University of Greenwich, United Kingdom; a UK Chartered Engineer (CEng), Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (MIMechE) and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). He was trained at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the Asian Institute of Technology, KU Leuven and the University of Greenwich, and previously lectured at Hanoi University of Science and Technology and held a research post at Cardiff University. He has authored more than one hundred peer-reviewed papers, book chapters and technical reports, and acted as PI or co-PI on projects funded by the Newton Fund, UKIERI, the British Council, NATIF (i4SM) and Interreg (CoRoT). He is a co-founder of the Vietnam–UK Network of Higher Education, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (VUHEIE). Within BIRALAB he leads international partnerships, biomedical engineering and instrument development.
Research interests
Biomedical engineering and telehealth; 2D/3D medical image processing and personalised implant design; biosensors and diagnostic devices; digital twins and smart manufacturing; design optimisation using FEA and CFD.
